He said: Surely by asking your ewe to add with his ewes, he has done wrong to you, and indeed the mingling men and women are doing unjust upon one another except those who are believers and do righteous deeds, and they are a few, and Dawood realized that indeed We are testing him, then he sought forgiveness to his Lord, and he bowed in prostration and repented.
Hearing the speech of two litigants, Dawood made a judgment against the one who demanded brothers’ single ewe to add upon his ninety-nine ewes (sheep). He also said that most of the mingling men and women are doing unjustly upon one another except those who are believers and do righteous deeds, and they are only a few. By making this judgment Dawood realized that the Lord was testing him through this event, and so he sought forgiveness and fell into Prostration and repented.
Dawood who has ninety-nine wives happened to see the wife of his supreme commandant who was a noblewoman. He wished to marry her also who was the only wife of supreme commandant, and informed him about his desire. Then the Three Time Knower Lord Allah was making the above incident to remind Dawood that it is not allowed to desire to marry a lady who is in wedlock with another man.
The two litigants came to his sanctuary suddenly without getting permission, and by the words, Allah said: “We were testing him”, it is understood that the litigants were a group of Angels. See explanation 11: 69-70.
Later when the supreme commandant was assassinated in a battle, Dawood married that widow, and Sulaiman was born as their son. This event is similar to the event explained in verse 12: 53 happened in the case of Yousuf and Zulaikha. It reminds us that the desire of believers will be fulfilled in this world itself. He who has become a believer with Adhikr which is the Permission of the Lord to become a believer as told in verse 10: 100 and who propagates It to the entire mankind, in his Prostration of Recitation he will remember his previous offenses and sins happened from him before and will seek forgiveness for his offenses and sins to the Lord, and will pray to be among the one in thousand who will only go to the Paradise.
Today the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who lead a life forgetting Adhikr are recording sexual organs of opposite genders in their Book of Deeds fastened around their neck as told in verses 17: 13-14. They are feeding this evil burden more in their five times prayer in which only their bodies are participating without the soul. These original disbelievers mentioned in verses 4: 150-151 do not perform the Prostration of Recitation mentioned in fifteen places in the Lord’s Book in which all living as well nonliving things in the universe are participating. Performing swift prostration in their so-called five times prayer like a chicken eating its food, the Fujjar will have heinous punishment as explained in verse 22: 18. Since there is no group of believers anywhere in the world today, the odd believer should follow the mode of prayer and lifestyle as explained in verses 7: 205-206.
